PUTRAJAYA, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- Members of the public are invited to contribute their ideas and proposals for the preparation of Budget 2020, which will be tabled on Oct 11, through a special website, belanjawan2020.treasury.gov.my.
The Ministry of Finance Finance (MoF) said this would enable all segments of society to submit views in line with the government’s efforts to build the nation and prosperity of the people.
"Hence, the people can use various channels to share their input or proposals through the special website at the address, belanjawan2020.treasury.gov.my, and use hashtag #belanjawan2020 on social media websites such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The proposals can be submitted beginning tomorrow (Aug 9) until Sept 11," it said in a statement here, today.
The MoF said the government had organised the Budget Consultation Council which is a main forum whereby various parties from the private sector, non-governmental organisations and agencies were invited to contribute constructive ideas and proposals for consideration as input in formulating the budget strategies and measures.
“Besides that, several series of focus group consultations will be held with state governments such as Johor, Kedah, Perak and Sabah, as well as the ministries from tomorrow," it added.
